Technical requirements

Ribbit works with Microsoft Windows 98 and above, Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows VistaTM. Microsoft Word integration requires Microsoft Word 97 or above.

Ribbit also needs a working LaTeX installation with dvipng, and it needs for it to be in the PATH; however, neither is an issue with any remotely recent installation of LaTeX. Even if you do not have LaTeX, Ribbit will set you up with a micro version of MiKTeX (an 11MB automatic download)—all you need to do is launch the Ribbit's installer and click “Next” a number of times.

Registering Ribbit

Ribbit is shareware, which means you can use it for free, but after 30 days it will begin to nag. What's worse, Ribbit will also lock into a low-resolution mode, making all new formulas look jagged.

You can avoid both by registering Ribbit. The single-copy price is $25 US with volume discounts making it even cheaper very fast.

JabRef is an open source bibliography reference manager. The native file format used by JabRef is BibTeX, the standard LaTeX bibliography format. JabRef runs on the Java VM (version 1.4.2 or greater), and should work equally well on Windows, Linux and Mac OS X.

BibTeX is an application and a bibliography file format written by Oren Patashnik and Leslie Lamport for the LaTeX document preparation system. General information about BibTeX.

Bibliographies generated by LaTeX and BibTeX from a BibTeX file can be formatted to suit any reference list specifications through the use of different BibTeX style files. We support this initiative to build a searchable database of BibTeX style files, organized by journal names: LaTeX bibliography style database.

Trong texmaker đã hỗ trợ việc tạo bảng. Cho nên trước đây có một trình tạo bảng khá trực quan, nhưng mà thiết nghĩ bây giờ không cần thiết nữa.
